Using the TL866 II+ Universal Programmer with Minipro for Ubuntu

Get the software

Visit https://gitlab.com/DavidGriffith/minipro/ and follow instructions

Connect the programmer

Connect the programmer and check with minipro -k
tl866ii: TL866II+

Update firmware

1. Unar needed: sudo apt install unar
2. Get File: http://forums.xgecu.com/viewthread.php?tid=20&page=1&extra=#pid23
3. Extract rar file and then exe file with Unar
4. Look for updateII.dat
5. perform minipro -F updateII.dat

Test the setup

e.g. by testing a defect 74LS245 with minipro -p 74245 -T which results in
